Commercial-Celsius

Image
After filming, editing and making the final touches, my commercial is Finally done! This was my first time  making a commercial and it was such a fun experience! I learned a lot while filming and my production skills have improved tremendously. My group and I could have improved on our time management, but now we know what to expect for our next project. Working with Celsius was fun because after we finished a long day of filming, we go to drink it! I highly recommend trying Celsius because not only does it taste good, but it also gives you the boost you need throughout the day. For me personally my favorite flavor is Peach Vibe! Give it a try, you won't regret it!

Creative Critical Reflection 1.       How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?            My commercial used conventions found in other energy drink commercials. This is because our commercial uses athletes as actors, has the product, Celsius, next to them in every clip, and has vibrant text that describes the drink in every almost every scene. The actors represent Celsius' quality by showing the it does give you energy, it does boast metabolism, and it does help burn body fat if drinking 30 minutes prior to exercise. To attract buyers my commercial uses eventful colors, and fruit to endorse the drink shown in the clip, which most to all energy drink commercials include. My Celsius Commercial portrays the social groups as athletes. This is because it includes exercising, hard work, and plenty of sports.    2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?      My Celsiu

final touches

Hey, welcome to my final blog. After putting everything together, noticed that there needed to be a couple scenes that needed to be Re-filmed. Starting with the water scene. This scene was a sorts of messed up. Starting with the fact that it wasn't even center in the camera or that you couldn't see the logo on the can. We asked Taylor to quickly re-film this scene for 2 reasons. One we were on a deadline and two she's Unfortunately moving schools, she's going to St. Thomas Aquinas. Luckily the re-filming of this scene would kill two birds with one stone because in the original filming we didn't add a tilt. I plan on going over to taylor's to fix that. She's going to drop the can and strawberry's and I'm handling the GoPro and making sure the tilt is correct. The strawberry's also didn't fall too nicely in the water so it will be good to fix that up as-well. When going back and watching the video through the scene where Taylor catches the can

What's going on behind the Camera?

We did all of our editing on iMovie. iMovie is just a free app used to create videos, movies, trailer, and now storyboards. Once we figured out which app we were using I had choose the videos that would work best and put them in order following our storyboard. Once I got them in order I had to trim down the videos to 5 seconds each that way our commercial would make the 30 second cut off. Once we got them in order it looked pretty good except a little choppy. We tried some cool editing trick involving scene at the tennis courts, however, it didn't flow and made the commercial way too long, so we took it out. Alyssa noticed that one out our scene didn't include a tilt, which was required, so Taylor and her dad are planning on fixing that and sending it over to me because the project is on my phone. Our commercial starts with me drinking the Celsius then moves to the closing which is the Celsius logo. Before I started adding the magic I had to make sure that each of us we

On Wednesday the 5th, I started filming my Celsius Commercial with group. Me and Alyssa meet at Taylors' house. My whole group which includes Alyssa and Taylor were there so we were able to complete our commercial. Taylor bought Celsius and Strawberry's, I brought my tennis bag and two rackets and Alyssa brought the story board. I wasn't there when Alyssa and Taylor filmed the Treadmill scene. But I did arrive for the struggle of the scene where we drop strawberry's and celsius in the pool. This scene had to have been the hardest scene to film. Taylor's dad Brought out his GoPro and really helped. He showed us good angles and where to drop it so we could get the perfect shot at a tilt eye level  angle. After this we took Taylor's golf cart over to riverside park to film on the tennis courts. This scene by far was the funniest scene. Taylor couldn't hit 2 balls in a row and Alyssa was on the floor filming a low angle and was laughing so much. It was pro

Storyboard

Hey guys, welcome to my blog! Today my group and I created a storyboard for our Celsius commercial.   First Scene- During this scene we will be filming Carleigh taking a sip of Celsius. The shot will be a long shot to show Carleigh’s whole body. The location we will be filming this is at a tennis court. We want to show the aspect of pre-exercise supplement drink, since celsius is an energy drink and can help accelerate metabolism, burn body fat and provide essential energy. Second Scene-  The next scene we wanted to include in the commercial is two people playing tennis, with the celsius showing on the tennis court. The location for this scene will also be outside at a tennis court. Carleigh and Taylor will be wearing leisure activity wear while playing tennis. The shot is going to be a low angle, and a wide shot. Third Scene- The third scene we wanted to include in our commercial is a person running on a treadmill. The location for this scene will be in a garage on a treadmill. The
