Final CCR

Image
This is my final CCR, Creative Critical Reflection. I had a lot of fun making this video because I love to do makeup and I hope you learned something from my get ready with me film. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to view my project and I hope you have the great rest of your day!

The Final Task

Good evening, today is the day I submit my final project and I couldn't be happier. Taking this course was extremely fun and I really enjoyed spending it filming with Alyssa. This video allowed me to express everything I learned throughout the past couple months. It also allowed me to learn how to add movie titles which is much more interesting than it seems. Out of all my other assignments for this class this was the most fun to film because kidnap and mystery films have always peaked my interest. I really enjoyed filming this movie and I hope you enjoy watching. Have a great day!

Production Blog: Final Touches

Last blog I described how we finished the needed editing requirements for our film. We were going to stop there but as we watched our film back it was very boring and bland. Alyssa and I mutually agreed that we needed more editing tricks to spice up our movie. Unfortunately we had no idea what editing we should do. I thought about adding a hold film tv filter, but it looked really tacky so I restored it back the original. Alyssa and I were stumped so we asked some of our friends if they had any ideas. We asked about 3 of our friends and they all has the same suggestion, turning off the music when we were talking. I don't understand how we missed this while editing but thankfully it was caught. Since all of the editing was done on Alyssas phone we shared her screen to me so I could see what was going on. We had no idea how to spilt the music in to accommodate the talking sections. We were using a different site because they had more editing tools for free but it was so confusing. T

Production Blog: Re-edit

Good Evening, last week I had my friend Abril peer-review my film and yesterday I finally made my edits. As I stated in the pervious blogs, Abril said my video was quite choppy and although I fit all the clips within the time limit my video looked a little bit rushed. This was really eating at me so I had Alyssa and I re-film some running scenes. I did this to ensure myself that the video would run more smoothly than before and to make sure my film looked like we spend more than 20 minutes editing it. Once the re-shoots were complete I placed them into spots where they were needed. Once they were placed I went in with the editing techniques. I first considered Abril's suggestions and changed the size and color of my titles. I made the titles a tad smaller and made the color a blood red. This was a really good tip because it added a pinch of creepiness to the film. Abril's Critiques weren't too long and time consuming so it left me time to begin the creative side to our edi

Peer Review

Only April 5th I had my friend Abril Porcile peer review my movie. I choose Abril to look over my movie because of how honest she is. She will be so straight forward on how I can make my movie better. I showed it to her at lunch because it was easier for me to understand her critiques in person. She told me that my font was too big and the color I used was too dark so it was hard to see in some clips. She said that my movie was a little choppy and that I shouldn't add any transitions because you hardly see continous transitions in a movie. The transition and choppiness  part I agreed with because after our reshoot it was kinda hard to make everything flow again. This was because our new clip was much longer than the previous one. Since this clip was so long we had to cut some parts out of our other clips. This completely messed up our video. Words and actions of the other clips were cut out because of this scene. I sent it straight over to Alyssa and she made a miracle happen. She

Re-shooting Blog: One of Our Most Important Scenes

On March 31st 2023 Alyssa a and I's worst nightmare came true, we had to re-shoot. We didn't miss a scene but there was just something off. This was the scene where the mysterious man walks in on Chloe hiding in her bathroom. We used a tilt and for some reason it just didn't flow. The tilt just seemed very rushed and choppy and if were being honest we didn't have much time for the last clip. However I wanted a second opinion and called Alyssa. I asked her what she thought of it and she agreed that it didn't look right. Unfortunately for us deadline was just around the corner and we weren't;t sure when we would both have time to film, not to mention Alyssa lives about 45 minutes from my house. Thankfully we both had nothing planned so Alyssa was able to be dropped off at my house. Alyssa told her mom to pick her up around 4 pm which gave us more than enough time to film and re-edit our movie. This camera movement was surprisingly hard to achieve. I don't kno
