Planning Blog: Script

Scene 1:

*footsteps approaching*

*music begins to fade in*

Carleigh- “17:03 minutes that's my best time yet”

*calls her best friend Katelyn*

Abril- “Hey, Chloe what's up!”

Carleigh- “KATELYN I JUST RAN MY BEST TIME” 

Carleigh- “I hit a personal record by 1 whole minute”

Abril-” CHLOE IM SO PROUD OF YOU!!”

Abril- “I knew you could do it, you've work so hard for this!”

Abril- “You deserve it”

Carleigh- “Thank you Katelyn”

Carleigh- “Hey Katelyn are you..... “

*Katelyn Interrupts Chloe*

Katelyn- “what's that behind you” 

*A dark figure appears behind her and we see Chloe from their point of view* 

*we hear heavy breathing from the person in black*

*Chloe Turns around*

Chloe- *Screams* “I have to go” 

*The FaceTime disconnects* 


Scene 2:

*Chloe arrives home*

Chloe- “Mom, Dad some guy was stalking me while I was running”

Parents- “Chloe your overreacting, he probably just took the same way home”

*Chloe sighs*

Chloe- “Yeah you guys are probably right, I'm going to take a shower and make some food”

Scene 3:

*1 hour later* 

*Chloe walks in her room, sits on her bed and turns on Netflix while eating her sandwich* 

*Creepy person knocks on her window*

Chloe- “Who's there?”

*Tapping continues*

*Chloe gets up and opens her blinds*

Chloe- “AHHHH”

*Chloe runs out of the room*

Scene 4:

Chloe - “Mom, Dad, you need to see this right now”

*Chloe runs around her house but can’t find her parents anywhere*

Chloe- “This is not funny where are you guys”

*Chloe checks her driveway to find her parents car missing*

*While looking outside, she sees a man in all back reach for her front door knob*

*Chloe immediately runs to her room and begins to dial 911*

Scene 5:

Chloe-“ This can’t be happening right now, pick up!”

911 dispatcher- “911 what’s your emergency”

Chloe- “I’d like to report an intruder in my hom—--”

*Chloe hears the mysterious man get closer to her bedroom door*

*Chloe immediately hangs up the phone and locks herself in the bathroom*

*The mysterious man knocks on her door twice*

* the mysterious man in black opening the bathroom door to Chloe shocked on the ground*

Scene 6:

What wasn’t known was that a bystander saw the mysterious man enter Chloe's home. 

*lady sitting on a lazy boy watching the news*

The news- “Breaking news, Chloe Smith, 16 years old, was last seen in her home in florida. The police don't have any leads at the moment. Police say that whoever took her knew what they were doing, and left no evidence. Chloes house was spotless. Police are starting to believe that she was just a runaway but her parents don’t believe that. Her parents are in shock and don't have a statement to present at this time. *inserts a photo of Chloe's home* We will check in later with any updates. On to the weather…..”

Stella- “OH MY GOD”

*The bystander picks up her phone and dials the police* 

Stella- “Hi i need to report information on the missing child's case”

The Vision Short Film

Throughout the Mystery short film, The Vision, there was a boy looking for his friend throughout a fever dream and never ended up finding out if his friend was ok or not. There was common sounds like creepy music playing in the background. The lighting throughout the short film was very dark and eerie. The boys bedroom as well as all the settings that were shown throughout the film were dark and made a viewer feel uncomfortable. A common editing tactic in the mystery genre is foreshadowing which means early in the film, a hint is given as to what is going to happen as the plot. Another common tactic is suspense. Suspense is built through ending scenes with cliffhangers, making a character complicated, intense point of view, and hints as to what is to come throughout the film.  I really enjoy the suspenseful part about mystery genre films. Throughout all mystery films, there is so much suspense built up because you truly want to know what happened and why it is happening. This quest...

Its Me Again

 Hey Cambridge it's me, Carleigh Tripp, again. I am still a student at Fort Lauderdale High School and I am Still 15, however I am turning 16 on December 21st. I joined AICE media studies because I've always found interest in filming and showing my creative side. So far I've had a wonderful time making videos, especially the latest project we completed. The last project was a commercial and the item we choose was the energy drink Celsius. My favorite part of that project was incorporating the angles and editing that we learned in class. I learned a lot on filming and editing, mainly using editing apps and how to create those cool effects through technology. As we progress through the course I would like to film people who aren't part of the class to get more people than me and my partner.     Short film research: ( The Last Note/Mystery) Hey blogg. Today we will be discussing an award-winning mystery short film called "The Last Note" and pointing out different features within this film. For some background, the film begins with David driving to lake while taking about leaving his wife and all his problems with her. Then David is seen with a body bag which is Catherine and dumps her in a lake. He does this due to catching ehr cheating on him the night before. Once David returns home, he starts drinking a liquor while reading a book named Murder. In the book, there was a note from Catherine and as he reads to there are flashbacks to her putting posion in the bottle. He then relazies as she write “sorry I had to do this , goodbye David” and he passes away. To begin the sound purely consisted of voice-overs from both Catherine and David, the former husbands and wife, along with sound effects.
