Too Many Mistakes!
As I began to put all of our clips together I noticed a bunch of mistakes. For starters we Missed a whole scene, some of our clips were vertical instead of horizontally, and we didn't succeed some of the angles and movements we said we were going to use. There are no room for errors at this point so I contacted Alyssa and we were able to re-film today. The retakes took us quite a lot of time, almost two hours. The first scene we had to film was the scene where Alyssa was standing on the porch holding a heart. We completely skipped over this scene. I am being 100% honest with you, I don't know how we missed this. We've been extremely throughout threw this project. It might have been because we are overwhelmed with planning all of the other scenes. Once we completed filming that scene, we needed to fix the scene with Ripley, my dog, in it. This scene did include the long shot but it was not horizontal. This scene already took over 10 retakes because Ripley wouldn't work with us. So the fact that when we rewatched the video it just hit us that the video was filmed vertically. This sent Alyssa and I into a full blown panic because we were running out of time until my mom comes to pick us up. Luckily for us Ripley was actually very cooperative this time, the horizontal video only took us two tries. We needed to re-film scene twelve because the camera was at eye-level and not at a low angle. This error could have occurred because my grandma had to film. I think we were so caught up in our acting that we didn't realize how she was holding the camera. I did't want to ask my grandma to get up again so I grabbed a tissue box and placed it on the floor. This accomplished the low angle and a cool shot. The last scened that's re-filmed was The scene where we introduce the dad. Originally it was in the front doorway of my grandma's house. I did think that we needed to change up the location she we re-shot that in the street with nice lighting. Today was a stressful day but Alyssa and I worked through it together.
