filming blog
Welcome back to my blog! Today Alyssa and I started filming our music video. My grandma picked up me and Alyssa up from school and took us to her house. We used my grandma's house as the back drop for our music video because my parents were at work and it was the easiest to film at. Once we established how we wanted to film we gathered all the props into one room. We decided that the clothes we were going to use had to come from my grandma's closet. There we gathered black jeans, a hat, a cane, and a navy blue button up shirt. While Alyssa was chasing into her manly outfit I prepped the room for our first scene. In that scene there is a pan so I needed to clean the room to make sure it didn't look too messy. We began to film this scene and it took so many tries. According to Alyssa I wasn't doing the pan right so we had to redo it a lot. Once we took the perfect clip, we had to film a scene involving a car. I had to pull my grandma's car out of the garage into the driveway. Alyssa acted out the scene and I filmed using a wide shot. To produce a good wide shot I used the 0.5 option in the camera. For the next scene Alyssa had to knock on the door to hopefully get his future wife approval. for this scene I had to lay on the floor and use 0.5. Now it was time for me to dress up as the dad for the next scene. I changed into the outfit that Alyssa was wearing, put a hat on and grabbed a cane. I then stood in the doorway and looked into the distance, to enhance the fact that I'm a protective and powerful dad. This scene was probably the easiest to film since all I had to do was stand there. For the fifth scene we needed to have my grandma film. This scene was definitely the hardest to film because she didn't really understand how to use a phone. I helped her out by clicking record before we were ready, I plan on trimming the clips later. This scene me and Alyssa stood in a heart shaped cut out to prove our love for each other. For the Sixth scene we used an eye level angle. I stood in the door way again holding a sign that said NO. This was to show that I don't approve of the relationship and the eye level was it get the boys perspective of me yelling at him.
