Planning Blog
Hey guys, welcome to my blog! Today I will be planning my "Rude" music video.
Plan:
Song title: "Rude" by MAGIC!
Props: In our music video, our props will include a bed, a car, a sign that says "No", and a box with an engagement ring.
Costumes: In our music video, we will have 3 subjects. One will play the boyfriend and wear a suit. Another will play the girlfriend and wear a dress. The last one will play the dad and wear formal clothes. Before and after the proposal scenes, the men will wear a casual shirt and shorts, and the girlfriend will wear a nice shirt and pants. The subject playing the girlfriend will wear jewelry, have their hair done, and wear formal shoes. The subjects playing the men will wear formal shoes as well.
Schedule:
On 11/13/22, our group will research the convention and codes found in pop music videos.
On 11/14/22 our group will plan out what Props, Costumes, Health and Safety Protocols, Locations, Schedule, and Backup Plan we have for our music video.
On 11/17/22 our group will create a storyboard to represent our 1-minute and 15-second music video.
On 12/5/22 and 12/6/22, our group will film all of the scenes and shots for our music video.
On 12/8/22 our group will make all of the necessary edits and adjustments to the music video.
Location list: Our main locations will be Carleigh and Alyssa's houses. At Alyssa's house, we can film the "boyfriend" jumping out of bed and wearing a suit. We can also film the boyfriend knocking on the door and the dad answering it as well. At Carleigh's house, we can film the scene where the boyfriend drives to the girlfriend's house. Our next location is for the middle scenes, where we will film in Alyssa and Carleigh's bedroom and front yards.
Health and Safety Protocols: Some Health and Safety Protocols we will follow include having an authorized driver in the car, only filming in the street when it's empty, asking permission to film in certain locations, and keeping homes and property clean and organized during the filming process.
Backup Plan: If the weather is in bad condition due to rain and thunder, we can film most of our music video inside our homes. Interactions between the boyfriend and dad can switch from on the lawn to in the living room. We can also switch from filming outside of the car to filming inside of the car to avoid the rain. The scenes that include the front door will not be affected by the weather because that area is covered. If one of the team members is absent, we can still film scenes on our own using our family members.
